Who Says Dogs and Cats Can't Live Happily Together?
There are lots of myths about dog training and behaviour and if you ask ten different people for advice, you'll probably get ten different answers. I am a firm believer in keeping things simple and teaching your dog in a way he understands. It's pointless shouting at your dog when he doesn't come back, or dragging him back every time he pulls on the lead. I'd not respond very well if you did that to me. Instead, I will teach you how to communicate with your dog in a calm, consistent way, showing him by your actions what you'd like him to do and what is less desirable. I don't have a magic wand, so can't offer you any instant fixes, but with patience and perseverance you will get there and I'll be with you every step of you way.
It doesn't matter how old your dog is, what breed of dog you have or what problems you're having - whether you have a poodle who bites all your visitors, a great dane who is scared of his own shadow, a Labrador who knocks everyone over in his eagerness to say hello or a puppy that you simply can't house-train, I can help you. My method of training is kind, based purely on positive reinforcement and quite simply shows your dog his place in your family. I will teach you how to be the responsible adult in your dog/human relationship, the one who makes all the decisions and the one who makes your dog feel safe.
General consultations are carried out initially in your home environment so that I can see exactly how your dog behaves and come up with a personalised Action Plan to move things forward. Training walks are also available if things are fine at home but you struggle on a walk. Contact me today for a no-obligation chat about how I can help you or call me on 07721 078271.
